Ajour System launches innovation project around sustainability and digitization!
The government’s 2030 goals for the National Strategy for Sustainability and the Voluntary Sustainability Class, as well as the UN’s 17 world goals – are everywhere and on everyone’s lips.
Sustainability is a large and complex area to keep track of also for the construction industry and the challenges include lack of information, knowledge, tools and anchored processes. No one can doubt that we must develop innovative digital solutions, as well as new methods for how we can work effectively with sustainability in the Danish construction industry.
In order to have a strong focus on the problem, Ajour System and UCL and Aalborg University have invited a number of leading players in the industry to our innovation and digitization project. The project aims to uncover and identify the challenges involved in obtaining data, better utilization of data from the BIM models, for use in LCC and LCA calculation and final submission for a certification ex. DGNB.
“Our ambition is for sustainability to be made operational – for far more players in the industry. Sustainability must be simple and not least effective to use “, says Michael Schwartz.
The participants in the project are all leading companies in their respective fields. The participants are: Ajour System A/S, UCL Erhvervsakademi og Professionshøjskole, MOE A/S, ERIK Arkitekter A/S, SafeCon ApS, Dansk Boligbyg A/S, Birch Ejendomme A/S, EcoCocon ApS, K-Jacobsen A/S, Phønix Tag Materialer A/Sand Strøjer Tegl A/S.
“The current work processes are based on individual methods and own definitions of how the client’s requirements are met and a certification can ultimately be achieved. During the project, work will be done on how sustainability can be demystified and become part of an integrated work process and method. ”, says Asmus Larsen.
In connection with the project, a number of workshops will be held, where the working groups identify and clarify challenges and solutions that are in connection with the preparation of the sustainability criteria, documentation and procedures for the project.
The first workshop was held on. May 25, 2021 with a fantastic enthusiasm and desire to help understand and uncover the challenges in the projects that we are now going to work on in the upcoming workshops.
We are very pleased with the great interest and commitment in the project, it will be really exciting to see and follow the development and finally to come up with a presentation on how we can streamline and digitize the process for the benefit of all.
